We all know how rare and far between 'meet-cutes' actually are. With the internet, dating apps, and our eyes being glued to our phones anywhere we go, it is a lot harder to just meet people authentically. People don't even know how to approach others anymore, and the internet has made sure we don't really need to.

That is why people love it when they hear of couples' meet-cutes. They met at a coffee shop, or on the train, he bumped her shoulder, she was mesmerized by his eyes, much more romantic than a message on an app, right?

However, I will take a message in an app any day over something like what happened in the story below. This girl thought she had the ultimate meet-cute with her boyfriend, but on their one-year anniversary, she found out he actually orchestrated it, and was aware of her for 6 months before he finally made a move. This led her to question their entire relationship, and I honestly can't blame her…
